EvE Online Entities come under the following categories
The prime four races of EvE Online and all you need to know about them.
Five major distinct societies rose to prominence from the surviving colonies that made it to New Eden, all growing into interstellar spaceflight-capable civilizations.
The states based around these societies make up the five major factions in Eve Online: the Amarr Empire, the Caldari State, the Gallente Federation, the Minmatar Republic, and the Jove Directorate.
We list all major factions and minor factions and their associated corpoations.
Non-player corporations are predefined corporations in EVE that are not run by any player. Some, depending on the education path chosen, serve as starter corporations for new players, or transitional corporations when a player is moving from one player-owned corporation to another. Since there is no requirement to be a member of a player-owned corporation in EVE, it is possible to stay in a non-player corporation permanently.
Here we list all NPC Corporations and their background stories.
Alliances in EvE are a collection of player-run corporations united under one banner. Each alliance has an Executor Corporation, who deal with the administration of the alliance. To be an Executor, the corporation must have the support of the CEOs of at least 50% of the member corporations.
Alliances can control enough star systems that their territory can be plotted on the Eve Online game map. Alliances based in lawless space often form unofficial political power blocs with other alliances. These power blocs are typically referred to as "coalitions". Unlike formally established alliances, coalitions are similar in nature to Japanese keiretsu – an informal 'business arrangement' in which several corporations band together to provide mutual financial, military and/or industrial support.
Here we list all alliances (updated weekly), their corporations, news and Agency statistics.
Players can organize themselves into corporations (similar to guilds or clans in other MMOs). Corporations are run by one chief executive officer (CEO) who controls the corporation's assets. The CEO assigns roles to corporation members such as director, accountant and personnel manager. Corporations may also band together to form alliances.
Corporations take up numerous business models such as mining, manufacturing or "ratting" (hunting NPC pirates for their bounties and loot). Corporations can levy income taxes on their members, which skim off a percentage of every member's earnings. Many corporations offer a variety of benefits to their members, such as free or discounted ships, equipment, formal training, and organized corporate group operations.
Due to the sheer number of corporations in EvE, we only list corporations from alliances. Non-alliance corporations are automatically generated if a member of that corporation logs into PANDORA.
